Strange crane- ebay, Australia. 1945?

Whats this?

A 'jumbo' crane? HEading and picture look quite interesting. Does anyone have any details on it?

Hi Ian,

That is a British built Taylor Jumbo. No details on that one, but I recollect that they based some on ex-WD Morris Commercial C8 trucks, this one may be mounted on a Ford chassis as it has a V8 fitted.

Take a look at this link, it is the history of Taylors (who were later taken over by Coles Cranes), and shows a similar crane dated c.1949
