Acco Bits
Hello all I am new here I have a MK3 and MK4 acco and a 1956 Unimog 404 would appreciate any info anyone can give me on the vehicles and also I am in desperate need of a wiper motor for one off the accos and a winch. Also can anyone tell me what sort of connection was on the end of the winch cable. Mine has just a threaded end?
Thanks Pete |
welcome to the forum. From memory the acco winch just had a hook at the end. If you have a look in the acco threads in here you should find some photos.
As for parts, unless you want a whole Mk.5 I don't know of any parts for sale, but is the wiper motor the same as in the later civilian model accos? |
Acco Winch
Hi Pete, a forum member here who goes by the name of RUSTY has an Acco winch that he would part with i'm sure. Send him a Private Message if he's not looking. I'll let him know also when I see him next.

Hi Pete,
Here is a photo of the cable end: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...2/DSC00665.jpg Regarding your wiper motor, have you checked that the linkage is not seized? I thought mine was dead, but turned out the wire cable inside the guide tube was a bit rusty and one of the splines which protrude through to outside the cab and join to the wiper arm was seized. Keep a lookout on ebay for the acco winches, I've seen a few on there... Here's my MK3 at the moment: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...2/DSC00664.jpg |
Thanks Sam, my winch cable has like a threaded end looks like something was meant to be screwed onto it I will take a pic and post it wonderful thing digital cameras these days
