Having concluded the business I thought I'd share my latest purchase with you............ D15 tanker ex Matt Rimmer ex Steve Stone, never let it be said the OCMP don't keep it in the family

Wow very nice, are you going to keep her in those markings?

Nice purchase

Did you find a use for the cargo body that was on it?

I never did work out what happened to that screen, as the majority of it was OK and just a 10" section or so of the bottom rail was completely toast - rest of the truck was fine though.

At least two other D15 tankers percolated south from Scotland over the last 20 years - though neither has the original tank.

Cargo body

Hello Gordon

no by the time the truck arrived in sunny Oxfordshire it had lost the Morris 1 ton steel GS body that it had grafted onto it, your right about the original screen very odd fortunately I have another good one, the scuttle is odd too, the rest of the truck is almost unmarked and yet it has holed along a three inch section where the side seam meets on the scuttle almost like an acid attack but no reason why it should be in this position.

Ah.......... yes.........well..... McSpool you know what it's like ;)

It is rather nice I have to say

But this has to be the last one with Retriever, 12 Cab LAA ,D15, and David's James ML and WK60 I think the Ashby's have more than enough to be getting on with, are and then there’s a Series 111 109 FFW but I don’t like to admit to that one……………….. but then I have always fancied a 12 cab F or C GT as you may remember……… ho hum.

Pete
