Vernon, BC

I believe there used to be a training base in Vernon, BC.

1) Does anyone have reference information & pictures?
2) What was the function of the base, ie. RCAF or ??
3) DND prefix and numbers that were used on vehicles

Pls advise....
Regards,

Vernon still has a cadet camp and the I believe the BCD's have an armoury there. Years ago when doing my Jr leaders course there I came across two Skink turrets, I wish now I had coordinates for them, hope to get up there again and go look for them. There is a active rifle range and there used to be an artillery range and training area there.

Vernon

Vernon was an annex of C.F.B Chilliwack for a number of years and has been a cadet training facility since 1947
It had been a training area since ww1 ,If you type in V.a.c.c Vernon on google younshould get something.
Vernon Museam has an extensive record of the cadets and the years they attended
