I suspect you'll get it fairly quickly, but for the answer have a look here

Thanks to Euan for the pics...

Recuperator

hi Keith

Rick has a great collection there .

The recuperator vehicles were used for charging the recoil system in artillery pieces eg. 25 pounders . I have a 1944 equipment memorandum on the 3 ton recuperator truck .

Aussie Dingo

Hi Keith,

It's a Ford/Marmon-Herrington Dingo, but I have to admit I needed the rest of the pictures to get a clue...I had not ever seen the insides of one before. Thanks for the pictures!

By the way, I find it hard to believe the pictures of the Lynxes depict one and the same vehicle.

Regards,
Hanno

Rick has indeed done an outstanding job of repairing the Lynx.

Quite a collection, eh?

Euan also visited a couple of people in Perth recently and I'll publish pages in due course - there are some interesting vehicles including a Valentine and AEC armoured car.

As far as I know the Australian Army did not use the AEC Armoured Car. Isn't it an AEC Armoured Command Vehicle? The Australian Army received seven of these in 1943, and were used by the 1st Australian Armoured Division. They were eventually retired in 1955 (source).

I'm not trying to downtalk what Rick is doing, but I simply cannot see how this Lynx:

could be turned into this one:

without lots of new shiny metal bits!
Please forgive my ignorance, but wouldn't it be more likely Rick sourced another body?

Anyway, quite a collection indeed!

You could well be right...
Because these are so rare here and because the older pics came from Ric's own collection, and because I heard Rick has done a lot of work on it, I made the assumption (without really checking) this was the same one, but I think you might be correct, Hanno.
