Dear Sapper740, have a go at this. Might I ask for the indulgence of the peoples in Her Britannic Majesty's United Kingdom, and the Yurrupeens at large, to hang fire on the kbd for a moment while those frightfully nice people of the New World ex-colony have a go at it.

Being just after 11:00hrs over there perhaps we could wait until bed time before tippy-tappy at the kbd?

Nice cup of tea and a Penguin as second guess prize, plus a whizz up High Street, Shirrell Heath in the 623 for the first correct answer.

Now lets just hope the image fits Ball-Spinnington's serving apparatus. Goodness knows what'll happen, I'm just finding my way round Corel. . . . . . . . . .

Could this be the HK 102 that was suposed to be a larger version of the Kettenkrad that never reached mass production?

R., allow me a little time to do some research. It's too pedestrian for you to simply post a pic of a Tiger; this is probably a rare variation that only people having visited Bovington or having been to Beltring would know about.

Good effort on the accuracy of the German MV nomenclature, although pedantry would have preferred it in full even though the language is so unwieldy even the originators use initials.

But no, it is definitely not a Tiger, or even a "rarer version".

I expect by now there are a few English men poised at the confuser, provided there is nothing on telly tonight, to tell all.

HUH! Christie suspension? Vas is los? Looks like T-34 running gear, with a Tiger turret, but that wouldn't be proportional. This is a tank that has been cobbled together, probably for a movie or something. Just to keep things fair, we should try to stick to vehicles that have actually existed in a country's arsenal.
As for the armoured car, I was certain it was a Leichter PanzerSpahWagen, but as we all know, I've been wrong before. Let me do a little further research and I'll get back to you.

R., perhaps you didn't know this previously, but I'm an Electrican. your tip, "ground connection" is more than likely going to lead me in an entirely different direction than you had planned.

I think I know where I've gone wrong on this vehicle. I've concentrated on the armament, not the hull. I'll change my guess to a SdKfz 221. Where the confusion set in is that every reference I've discovered states the 221 mounted a MG 34. The vehicle in your picture obviously has a larger weapon mounted, perhaps a 2 cm? Is this a correct and original vehicle in your picture, or another movie prop?

...and that's a good thing! Previously, my focus has been on small arms, WW I and WW II warships, and military aircraft. Quite a diverse mix! I came late to the world of miltary vehicles and as evidenced by my lack of knowledge, I have a lot of catching up to do. But I enjoy this "Name that Vehicle" thread as I hope you all do too. I try to throw a little humour in and I hope no one takes offence at my short descriptions of the winners, it's all in jest. Please keep challenging me, as it is how I learn.
