This was taken at the 1951 Frankfurt Show but was it once a Ford? If so, it looks as though it is a chassis-cowl..recycled ex-military?

May have been a flat cowl civilian export unit. They have done a lovely job of it though. David this is a ford similar to those church army Chev photos you put up, only real difference is the pump mounted to the front.

cheers

Dubl-Duti

As regards those 1941 Chevs Cliff, they were 1941 Model Chevrolet Dubl-Duti chassis bodied by DIVCO. The company offered three official body styles with different rear doors. I assume that the Ford pictured had a similar body however as iyt was in Germany was it a Koln Ford? Ex-military?

Hi David:

Certainly a Ford and it could have been a 1941 model or even an immediate post war model from the US. I would bet it was ex Wehrmacht recycled after the war.

Hi all, yes it really was a Wehrmacht Ford, Ford 3000S (S means standard - 4x2) made in 1939 - 1941, later models had other front - as you can see on the photo lower(1941-1942), the photo down is a "egg cab" Ford (1941-1945). This egg type has been made as Ford 3000A, too (A means Allrad - 4x4)(1943-1944) picture is taken from Werner Oswald´s book "Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer der Reichswehr, Wehrmacht und Bundeswehr"
