There is no 'home' for this subject so I have chosen to list it here.
I recently acquired a BSA folding Bicycle - frame only. if anyone has any parts, or knows of a source, please let me know.

Thnx,
Clive

Clive:

Wouldn't Colin McGregor Stevens be a first choice for asking about spare parts for your AB bike?

IIRC, he owns one (perhaps two) of these items.

HTH.

Been there, done that.

How about Jim Ritchie or Peter Simundson. I know Jim is into them and I seem to recall him and Peter talking about them. I also think Dirk Leegwater has the tool kit for the seat. Worth a shot anyway Clive.
Cheers,
barry

Thanks. Can you PM me their e-mail addresses? I don't know either of these gentlemen. I will try Dirk directly.

Hi,

Jim van Ommeren in the Netherlands produced about100 pairs of these brakes about 4 years ago. I got quite a number from him for resale and may have some of these repros left, I will have to dig them out. They were not cheap but looked spot on, apart from the actual threads (no 26TPI available nowadays!).
He also had some of the handlebar levers cast and cut: I think I may have some of these left too.

For the three decals: both Jos Pelders in the Netherlands and someone in the UK produced these: they should be available.
On the saddloes: some leather tops with BSA logo have been on the market, but the leather seems to have been too soft to do the job. Within the vintage bicycle scene some proper ones in a good quality hide were made, but these tended to be rather expensive, if ypu only wanted a look-alike. I have opted for period identical loking saddles as I tend to use mine.

Tyers are available of the shelve here in the Netherlands, but natural rubber (red) tiubes are , as far as I know not being made. But sybthetic rubbers ones in 26 x 1 3/8: any quantity!

BSA brake parts!!

Rob,

If you do have brake assemblies available I would be interested. I am also looking for correct brake cables or similar style. Thanks.

Bill.

Clive, BSA AIRBORNE FOLDING BICYCLE / PARATROOPER Item number: 6559629282 currently listed on eBay has some nice detail pictures of the parts you will be looking for.

Hope this is of help, good luck with the restoration.
