Was the second 'Sherman' in the parade a Canadian Grizzly?

Could be. We'd need to see the drive sprocket for indications of CDP tracks.

Evidence suggests that the Sherman was a Grizzly. Looking over the pictures and the notes from the Sherman Minutiae website provides a lot on the smaller detail.

Indeed it is.

Mind you, most of the components were made in the USA, while final assembly was done by Montreal Locomotive Works in Canada.

That only applies to post-war upgraded tanks.

However, the tank in the parade has a shovel stowed on the left, which — assuming this is original — would make it a Grizzly.

Good to know Montreal showed up at the 250th anniversary parade. I hope the crew got their appearance money, fuel and oil allowance, and of course, french fries with gravy and curd cheese. Topped with a 'quart' bottled beer.
