New Carrier Brake shoe springs

I am looking to do a run of Rear brake drum shoe, English / Canadian, will be patterned of an English spring, and I take it no difference with Canadian ones, will be around $30 each, if any interest, PM me .... unless there is a big stash out there of new ones? Thanks Andrew .

I had a hundred made up about 15 years ago and they all sold. But I think Jordan baker reported that the Ford 3 ton brake springs work just fine. I see van pelt has them for $2.50 each on their site.

See these threads:

The part number is 91A-2035

From VanPelt website:
91A-2035 Spring - Brake Return (6.25") - Front or Rear 1939-48 Car & Pickup 2.50

Andrew, before you order, contact Craig White… either here or on FB U/B carrier group. Craig believes suitable springs are readily available through a global on-line seller, at good value.

This is the spring in question, from English Carrier, so I take it the Canadian carrier one is slightly different, as have not pulled apart one of those hubs for a couple of years now , has anyone got a picture of the Canadian one, Added to this, the main coil is 120mm and overall length is 167mm , our local manufacture is around $US10 each , if he does more than 50 for this type. Thanks Andrew.

pretty tough to beat, in particular the delivery cost is favourable compared to what postage, duty and time in transit from NZ could total.
