AEC Militant Mk3 power steering

I have a Mk1 Militant and I would like to fit power steering to it.

I was wondering if the power steering gear from a Mk3 could be adapted to work?

Any help would be gratefully received

Having worked on Mk1 and Mk3 Militants many years ago, I think your initial thoughts should be where and how to drive the power steering pump. I recall on the Mk3 AV760 engine it was driven from the timing gears, but I do not recall ever seeing a power take off on the old 11.3 engine of the Mk1 ...... although memory may not be so good so could be wrong.

Thanks for the reply Richard. A friend of mine has a Mk1 with power steering, the pump is driven off the air compressor belt pulley, it has a modified pulley wheel to take three belts. Unfortunately it was modified by a previous owner so my friend has no idea where the parts came from.
