Trying to locate a family member of Lt. A.F. Harris, 7th Recce Regiment WW2 Any help greatly appreciated. The Royal Canadian Hussars Association has been contacted by a Dutch historian with a request to commemorate the liberation of a Dutch town in April 1945. Specifically, they are trying a family member of the first soldier into the town which was, according to the war diary, a Lt. A.F. Harris of the 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars ( 7th Recce Regiment, 3rd Div ). We know Harris was born in Oshawa ON on May 6, 1919 and was one of 3 children of Henry and Mercy Harris. We also know he was a replacement officer. Would any experts on Ancestry be able to locate any family members? Thanks in advance. |

The information you seek exists, although the surviving family members likely live in Connecticut, USA, where Arthur lived as a twenty year old in 1940 with his mother, father and brother. A message was sent 25 March, 2021 on your behalf. |

... a family member has replied... I have not heard back from you, Randall. |
