Coventry Climax 'GODIVA' generator
 

Does anyone have information to operate and maintain/overhaul this Genset.

Details on the nameplate are:

GODIVA
CAT No X2/6115-99-110-2417
GENERATOR SET GASOLINE ENGINE
3.5 Kva 230 Volts AC
SINGLE PHASE 50 CYCLES No1 MARK 3
Complete with tools and spares (ALL MISSING)
WD No B1529/CC/61
UNIT No ESM 209/3/2648

I believe the whole unit will need a bit of an overhaul, the engine turns over , but no compression on No 2 cylinder (valve stuck?). There are no sparks on any of the plugs. The oil pressure gauge does indicate a healthy oil pressure when turning on the starter. The engine is a side valve water cooled unit. All hoses are perished so will have to hunt down some of these.

The generator is an unknown quantity at the moment until the engine can be sorted. The generator is located above the engine and is driven via 3 belts. there are no instruments for voltage, current or frequency, (may have been removed?).

the whole unit is mounted on what I think is a Sankey trailer?

Any help with information would be appreciated.

I've been talking with the REME museum regarding this Genset and they may have some information but it is on the Mark 2 not the Mark 3.
They do not know the difference, does any one else?
Also I would appreciate feedback if I have the right Forum to ask about this unit, if not any suggestions?
