Old Chevy's never die. They simply go into retirement.

Thanks for the link, love the colourful language !
That is an early C30, no sling plates, early steering wheel, early dash and whilst she was turning over, sounded just like my Chevy C15.
Thanks again
Keith

I believe it’s a C60s, the C30 doesn’t have helper springs where this truck does.

Hi yeo NT,
Could be a C60 S, but that depends upon the wheel size and steering knuckle size.

I'm certainly not trying to provoke anything, but isn't that exactly what you have to do to start a Ford after sitting, well not 30 years, but like overnight?

What, sit around and drink beer? I'll give that a try.

Tsk tsk...the jealousy. Bruce: We are sorry you had to settle on GM products. Perhaps it is just a regional thing, or you are a sucker for punishment. At least you have the one carrier with a mighty Ford V8 in it. Out this way, it seems like Ford is the more common CMP to find, although they were worked hard for about 50 years.

Howling with laughter, here! A bit colourful, but the accents make me feel right at home.

Certain versions of the C30 DID have helper springs, LAAT being one of them. Interesting inner door pressings as well

See this thread for the variations in configuration:
