repairing fuel tanks.

From CAM Magazine.

CAM Magazine

I always liked the way in which the wartime CAM magazine not only disseminated technical and safety issues to the Army, but was also able to laugh at the institution. Nowadays every message is tightly controlled.

Looks more like a 3 ton tank to me. Especially considering there is a CMP to the right with it's tank out, and looking at the long neck of the tank.

I have repaired a number of tanks over the years, and am still nervous each and every time.

I echo Rob's comment about being nervous... The gas in my M37 tank was so old, you probably couldn't get it to ignite if you tried, but none the less I washed the tank out 4-5 times with hot (boiling) soapy water, and then left a fan blowing air through it for 24 hours. You could still detect a very faint smell of old gas and soap after it dried out. Even after all that, I was nervously expecting some kind of a puff or other reaction when I sunk the zip disk into it to cut it open... paranoid...?
