Hi. Is anyone in possession of a spare cap for one of these 1 gallon oil tins, that they are happy to move in my direction?
This has a coarse thread like used with a pressed cap. Not seen it before. The can is marked J.F.F.& Co Ltd and dated July 1942.
Thanks in advance.
Please p.m. me with price etc.

I don't have any spares, but the attached photos might help in your search. It's off a June 1948 dated postwar 1 gallon can. Note the instruction on top of the cap.

Owen.

Possible help.....

Hey Lynn: Spoke with Ian MacArthur on the weekend and I have to send him down a couple of small metal boxes in the next little bit. If it helps, I can include your cap from Vancouver to Ian's. Just let me know and I'll send you the info.
Cheers.....Robert

Hi Robert, I think I am missing something (other than the cap)
Has someone from Vancouver contacted me? ( Oh shite! I hope this is not alzheimers already)

Secret explanation....

Verification Lynn: IF someone contacts YOU from this side of the pond and wants to send you down a "cap", I have a parcel going to Ian's place and you could get a free ride! :teach: Robert

Thank you Robert. Now I understand. I will let you know if anything comes available. :salute:
