Cab 12 on a 13 chassis?
Is it do-able to put a Ford CMP Cab 12 onto a later chassis?
Am talking practically, not morally ... |
Changes
You need to swap the brake and clutch pedals and alter the front cab mount, only one on a cab 13, two on a cab 12. The cab sits almost flat on the chassis on packers rather than raised.

... And re-position the steering box inboard slightly.
The later chassis has both mounting bolt positions, but once re-positioned, you require a different steering track rod. It is always a higher moral purpose to get a Cab 12 back on the road at the expense of a Cab 13! :note: |
Furthermore
Thanks gentlemen - so I presume the motor sits same, any issue with gear sticks or radiator?
Is it a bad thing that I am gunna use a FAT?FGT chassis? (more moral dilemna) This will prob be a static 'ornament' - Oh wait that's how my F15 started ... |
