I see that you made it home from Ontario. You and I were introduced by Perry Kitson at the E&KS Parade during thier new armouries festivities. I was the portly man with the MkII* that led the parade ( not Charlie Fitton, who masquerades as either Perry or I when it suits him).

You certainly do have a MkII - dashboard without starter button, battery location behind driver, full coverage rear fenders etc. Like so many befoe it has had its armour plundered. The most distressing section is right in front of the driver where the serial number was stamped.

You can hunt around on the angle iron at the rear of the machine on the co-drivers side to locate a stamped number. By comparing this number to others, we should be able to get an approximate date of manufacture.

The boxes you are lucky enough to have found are stowage boxes. the one behind the driver has a dozen holes for signal flares. These boxes are in the way of getting to the often rotten fuel tansk - so you are fortunate undeed to have had them preserved and in such good shape. The straps that mount them and the tanks look in super shape.

Not all of the later Carriers came with the Stacey towing attachment. Many had a filler block about 1x2x4 between the rear fender and the lower differential armour plate on both sides.

Nice finds - and certainly very restorable. You have the whole winter booked up getting them back in fighting order for the VE activities, tho'.
