Transfer box oil seals

Hi Lar,

I replaced mine a long time ago but sadly can't find the information you need.

If you go to a good bearing and oil seal supplier with a sample you should be able to get a good match however.

If no original sample is available, measure the diameter of the recess in which the seal sits (outside diameter), the depth of that recess (thickness), and the diameter of the yoke which rotates in that seal (inside diameter).
With that information, a good supplier should be able to find you the right seal by checking his catalogues and cross references.

It may help speed up the search to have the dimensions in Imperial and metric sizes as the originals would have been made Imperial sized. Older catalogues may only have Imperial sizes listed.

Also consider installing Speedi Sleeves on the yoke if the surface is rough at the seal contact area. Saves chewing out a new seal when you install it.
Hope this is if some help.

Cheers,
