Hi All
I have the front part of a Mortar that was going to be a restoration project. however that has now gone by the wayside and I am giving it away, free to anyone who is interested in maybe wishing to build a Mortar. Cheers Tony :no4: |
Jezus!
I'll take it Tony, if still available. :thup2: |

It's yours mate. Send me a PM to work out details. Cheers Tony :no4: |
That's brilliant! Thank you so much.
I tried to send you a PM, but the system says: Little Jo has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her. Have sent you an email instead. I don't know why the PM isn't successful, but if you can send your email address we can avoid the issue. I'm sure your mortar legs will make into a good replica. They'll be a good candidate for a molasses bath, or electrolysis strip. Do you know what type of mortar they are for? If I'm lucky, they may be a type I have an inert projectile for. Looking forward to taking on the challenge. Once again, thanks so much. :salute: At least it's still staying in hands of a 'Tony'. :D |

I have sent you a reply email with my details etc. The legs are part of a 3 inch Mortar and should be a simple project for you. The local re enactment group here also have made one which is gas operated and is really authentic sounding when used on re enactments especially when echoing in the forest. Cheers Tony |
Thanks Mate.
By good fortune, I have a 3" mortar projectile here, somewhere. |
Good fit

That should make it look authentic, and maybe scare a few spectators.. Email received and replied too. Cheers Tony :no4: |
Excellent!
Now I need to work out how to make the mortar projectile puncture a standard small CO2 cartridge, as it hits bottom of the firing tube. |
