Ford Engine cover and fuel tank. Australia.

PRICE DROP.

I found these 2 lurking in the back of the shed and having sold my truck, i no longer need them! Not going to keep them on the likelyhood that murphys law will strike if i ever got another truck, so offering them for sale.

Ford Fuel Tank. Passengers side. Good condition overall, some scale/pitting on the bottom (see pic) where it must have sat on a chassis bracket, but I scratched at it forcefully and no holes appeared. Has a radiator cap for a lid. Apart from that, seems quite good- check pics or ask for more info! $100, down from 150, if not sold, will stay in shed.

Ford engine cover. Quite good condition overall- could only see the small crack in the top corner on the passenger side visible in the 3rd photo. Some surface rust. No plates on this one. Check pics or ask me for more info.
Having sold my truck, i found this and the fuel tank lurking at the back of the shed and don't need them any more. $40- down from 80, if not sold, will stay in shed.

Is the tank the same for a Chevrolet?

Ian Fawbert 20-01-16 02:10

Hi Richard,

I am really not sure sorry.
If we both do some asking and looking might be best- 2 heads are better then mine!

Cheers,
Ian.

same but differant!

The tanks look the same but the Ford and Chev sender unit are different. Tanks are interchangeable, the sender units use different hole PCD.

Lynn Eades 20-01-16 05:32

How long is the tank?

Ian Fawbert 20-01-16 11:25

Thanks Euan- thats what I'd found in looking today too!

Lynn, I`ll see it tomorrow and give it a measure then get back to you.

Cheers,
Ian.

Hi Ian, It just looks long to me, so thought it was for a FAT or similar.

Lynn, that's a standard 12.5 gallon tank. The gun tractor ones were deeper, wrote a different profile.
