1942 army truck???

looking for info? Uncle has what he call a 1942 16 wieght truck??? I have seen many pics of simular trucks here it looks like a 15 cmp truck ??? I know it was made by ford Canada ..has steering wheel right side ... gas pedal between brake and clutch..it still runs and is used to plow snow!!!
He is curious if there is a market out there to sell?? If anyone can give me some ideas where to get more info all help would be great .or how to identify model be helpful also thank you gibby43

James, it sounds to me that it is most likely a 15cwt Ford and either a 11 or 12 cab. Does the windshield slope backwards or forwards? 15cwt trucks were equipped with 9.00-16 tires. The wheelbase (center of front axle to centre of rear axle) should be 101". The data plate if still attached can tell us more.
Yes there is a market for cmps although condition and completeness determines the value and by no means is it a fortune. Hope this helps.

Glad you hooked up with MLU

Hi James

Glad you could hook-up with MLU about your uncle's truck. Did I understand from your e-mail that he has owned the truck for a long time? Some pictures would be of help in identification. Keep us posted on your progress. We all hope to see another truck discovered and restored.

Cheers Phil

I'll work on it but as i see you all must be very patient people to take on these projects later J.G.
