DUKW Accident in Seattle

HI

Just read this in the news. I hope a lack of maintenance wasn't the cause but having a wheel lock up may point to that. My sympathies to those injured and the families of those killed.

Saw a still picture on the news of this. The DUKW was at an angle to the side of a bus.

Is the LF wheel missing from the DUKW? If so, it would pull right if braking heavily, wouldn't it. Large dent in left side rear of the DUKW roof is interesting.

Hi

A follow up story that states the DUKW's wheel seized up and it swerved into the bus. Apparently it did not receive a "fix" that was recommended prior.
