eng wireing diagram
 
ok im starting up my carrier motor on the ground to test it. i have hooked up the + and - cables (it turns over just great). all the spark cables are hooked up. what other wires do i need to hook up to get it running???
can anyone draw me a basic diagram and send it to me?

i dont need lights, horn or anything else like that just need to start it to check it.

Dave,

You need to get a hold of one of Alex Blairs manuals for these machines. All of the electrical, mechanical, and other things that you need to know are contained in these works.

Alex trolls this site, so he already has one ready for you.

His manuals are top notch - really a must have.

PS - somebody will tell you that you don't need much for a quickie start up - but then not be availible for help when you fry a US$155.00 ignition coil or some such thing.

i have the manal and am starting to build a wireing harness, just need to test the eng out of the carrier. thanks

Assuming that you have the + to ground, all you need is a short jumper from the - to the coil. include the ballast resister, and a switch, and bob's yer uncle.

Stick a voltmeter on the cut out relay to see if the gen is working, if you have time.
