I did'nt think Baptys supplied vehicles, I thought it was only weapons.

Ihave had the carrier since 1989, it was also in the film The Land Girls but ended up on the cutting floor. I bought 20 odd vehicles from Baptyes in 1989, most of them were in The Bridge Too Far, 2 schwimmers,2 kubles, 1ton demag 2 BMW R75, 1 type 40 Horch, 1 kettenkrad, 1 brencarrier, ex Bart Vander veen C8a, 1 BmwR12 solo. So yes, they had a huge collection of weapons as well as many German and allied vehicles including an 18ton Demag that Mr. Dinely used to drive 2 miles to the main road to pick up his children. It was reputed at the time that he had the biggest private collection of firearms in the World, and he was a really nice man. I have an old photo somewhere of the German stuff lined up ready to be transported to the film set for the B T F film, John. |
