6lbr cost?

Hi,what would the cost be in your country, where ever you are,for a 6 lbr gun,its just a smaller version of the 17 lbr in the above thread.
Its all there, non firing.
We are trying to get an idea of value?,thanks.

Ken,

I went to that auction with a mate to buy the 6lber. We were prepared to go up to $6000. The bidding opened at $9000. We just looked at each other. Mr Belfield got some crazy prices for some of his stuff.

At the Littlefield auction, not so long ago, the 6pr fetched US$ 55,000. Add to that the auction costs and transport.

Cheers,

Any guess what a 25lber is worth now. Riveted trail, operational to fire blanks with providence, used in Syria?

Cheers,

Yes, but that gun was likely registered in the US as a destructive device. Having a gun that you can legally shoot and legally transfer multiplies the value many times over in the US.

Hello Rob,

I was under the impression all guns in that sale were deactivated before the auction? This was posted on this forum.

Cheers,

In the end I don't believe all of them were. I know there was a lot of discussion on this subject on different sites. The cutting of breech rings and cannon tubes really devalues the items, although I think for the most part the pieces at that auction did quite well.
