The 1946 census of vehicles in the NZ Army fleet shows NZ 22865 is a Lorry, 30-cwt, 4 x 4, GS Ford, Canadian.

The General Service deck is a NZ design with outer side lockers and a steel frame for the canvas canopy. The floor is timber, as are the cross bearers.

The attached pictures come from the Mark Priestley Collection.

more info on pics

The pics show the post war "Korean cab" which was an army rebuild.
Even then the rust points in the cab roof were an issue.

I note the second locker is slightly deeper, and the spare wheel mount on the bumper suggests this truck may not be a GS one. Any ideas?
The canopy is the full sheet, rather than the fitted type seen on the light trucks like C15A or C8AX.

I met Dave Mowat in the late 1980's who was then a RNZEME Major, but had been a craftsman back in the day. He related how they had built these cab roofs
when he was an apprentice. (We were looking at my C8AX which was stored in the Army hall at the time. The system chased me out a few months later.)

The 10' deck left no room for a spare wheel carrier behind the cab on the 30cwt as in the longer 3 tonner so they hung it on the front. It would have been good for access but must have made the steering very heavy.

Thanks for putting up the photos Arthur, It looks like someone has done a lot of work on that truck. Are they new pedal rubbers or has the truck had little use? Still a bit to do on the deck though. I have never seen any photos of a cab 13 with that little catch for the bonnet when it's open. They all should have one. The two small holes on the front of the roof could have been for the blue light that trucks were required to have years ago.
You could post a list of stuff you need. You never know what's out there.
Service manual can be downloaded from http://www.canadianregister.co.uk/
I am part way through scanning the parts book to disc.
My F30 had the spare wheel brackets still on the bumper but a deck I was given to copy and build had the mounting welded to the deck headboard (inside the deck).
Good luck with your restoration.
Regards, Terry
