3.5in Bazzoka Brackets for Carriers
Im looking for pictures of a carrier mounting a M20 3.5in Bazzoka (or similiar). We have a bracket that appears to hold a PIAT, but we have been told that it is for a 3.5in Bazzoka (Rocket Launcher). A 3.5in Bazzoka does fit. Since the US 3.5in was still developmental during WW2, it must be Post War.
Also, I had seen an earlier post of a line drawing of what appeared to be a Vickers/PIAT universal mount. Unfortunatly I cant find it now. Could someone repost it, or a link to it. Was there ever a Lewis Gun specific mounting bracket? |
Line drawings
I posted them a couple years ago now. I'll dig them up and repost if you can take a picture of the mount and post it also.If not email it to me and I will post it for you.

Thx Mark...
...as always your clerical/search skills are supreme...hmmm, maybe you could use those superpowers to dig up any undiscovered info on M7 snowtractors, quite a worthwhile challenge for an expert. Though I do have (large) higher res scans of the piat/vickers mount.I was looking for a picture of the bazooka mount that was mentioned, more fuel for the carrier fire.

Bazooka mount
Chris,
The mount on your T-16 is definitely for a Bazooka. These are the mounts used by the Swiss Army post war. They probably used surplus 3.5 inch bazookas supplied by the U.S. The original piat mounts on the T-16 are totally different than the ones on a bren gun carrier. They are much simpler in design. I am having all of the gun mounts made right now. They are patterned from an original T-16 from the Budge collection. I am having extra sets made. If you are interested in a set, let me know.
