Daimler turret and spares

Hiya all,

Have a Mk1 Daimler turret up for sale again, I got shafted before on this originally :ergh: have a second Daimler coming up for spares body bad but the rest including engine all there.

Currently restoring my Daimler it's going to be a SOD. Only found the one good photo of a SOD. They were part of C Squadron Inns of Court and did not have many in service.

Ah yes, the "Sawn Off Daimler" - ref. What is this? (looks like a wartime "hot rod" :D)

They had a need for a Recce car and a surplus load of DACs and not enough Dingos they were used as a command vehicle but also a 'baiting' vehicle when against the German ambush positions. That came from a veteran who served in C Squadron. He also told me when they landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-day +1 there DACs were painted black!
