Otter Bracket/mount ID Required!

On the new Otter there is a bracket/mount on both front wings, pictured below. It is about 12 inches high and appears to have a type of connector in the middle for electrical cable, there is also a hole in the wing below to take a cable. There are no holes in the top plate, so it doesn't look like anything was mounted on it.

Has anyone out there any good ideas ???? :bang:

James, the only thing I could think of could be semaphores, or side lights.
