Does anyone know? Is this how Bofors rounds came delivered in these boxes, I.e. loose in tubes as displayed? Would seem unusual given how British ammo always seemed to be well presented in steel boxes ( a la 25 pounder ammo in separate racks inside the ammo box).

I have seem many of these Bofors boxes but never any type of insert.

There were two kinds of boxes....the C216 which featured the rounds already on clips, and the C219 which came in the cardboard tubes.

I picked up 10 dummy rounds that came in tubes, but unfortunately they were American and are just slightly longer so need modification for the tubes to fit into the crate.
