Need help with box tag!
1 Attachment(s)
I discovered this tag while painting my box. I am going to restore the box
properly next winter but its going in a parade tomorrow. I was thrilled to find this; it had been heavily coated with paint so I made it legible. Would this make my truck a 1941 model? Its is a C15A Cab 12. Thanks for info Terry |

Terry,
This is the tag on my truck's cargo box. It was built by the Canadian Top & Body Corp. Ltd. of Tilbury, Ontario, Canada. The tag reads "42 03 2C1 7025", which I think denotes it was built March 1942, type 2C1, serial 7025. Hanno |

The box in the picture is indeed a 2B1, check with the list of types of bodies for CMP 15-cwt trucks from Gregg's "Canadian Military Vehicle Profile Series" - go to http://bcoy1cpb.pacdat.net/cmp_canad...ry_pattern.htm and scroll down for a couple of scanned pages. Now, how do we explain the "2C" on the tag? Is it a miss-stamping? Hanno |
Location.....
.... where excactly was that tag located on the cargo 2B1 Box.......
Hanno Terry has a 2B1 box on a cab 12 so what model is yours..? I have never seen such tags before ......... a lucky find !!!! Bob C |
Any box tags I've come across have been below the endgate on the passenger side.
|
This tag is below the endgate on the left side and appears that the
rivets are original from the factory Terry |
