Killer CMPs
 
I remember some time ago seeing a CMP which had been involved in a fatal accident when pulling out of a driveway back in the 1950s.

Yesterday I found another...

A C15A, I think started life as a silvan.

But something isn't quite right...

Do you see it? Despite the grille, that's an entire Ford cab 'engineered' on.

Talking the owner, this was given to him some time ago, and had been a Rural Fire Service truck which had been rolled, resulting in the fatality.

Cab mount

Most likely from a F15A, this was a sunshine roof cab which was converted with a lot of welding. The original Chev dash was used complete with late instrument upgrade. The wooden part of the steering wheel had been replaced with a steel tube version welded on.

Keith - when you say silvan - do you mean 'civilian' or silvan as in the Dandenongs?
