Oshawa military vehicle show 2013
 

Hi Folks: Just wanted to throw out a compliment to the many volunteers and organizers and vehicle owners who made the Oshawa show a GO. There was a large number of high quality, running vehicles there. There was lots of running/moving armour, not often you get to see that in this part of the world! Many excellent re-enacters and displays. Overall a very good show - but sadly not well attended by the public when i was there ( Saturday). I hope that there will be a way to continue to keep a summer show going - and perhaps more importantly some way to get the public involved in a truly interesting hobby with a lot of great people in it! And oh yes, it was nice to see all the old "gang" again! ...for what its worth...B.P.

Unfortunately time is always at a premium, sorry I did not get time to speak with you.
My job has me all over the country and fortunate enough for me the stars aligned this time allowing me the opportunity to attend, I have missed enough in the last couple years.
My wife had the chance to meet some of the riff raff and to re-aquaint with some others met at previous functions. Her highlight of the day was the chance to ride in a Spartan APC' not once, but twice during the show on Saturday. Its cool to have a partner who thinks this stuff is awesome just as I do (helps with my OD addiction and spending habits)and no, to all this who enquired, she does not have a sister nor do I want to trade... :p
Anyhow, we had an enjoyable time, thanks.

we are already working on next summer's show , date will be June 6,7,8,2014, there is a desert area in the plan and the armour modeling group will be set up in 2 of the buildings, all the living history groups are planed for next year also and we a hoping to spice up that portion of the event up, put it on your calendar and stay tuned.

FRank- a suggestion- if you havent already thought of it.. A week prior to day organize a media day, invite them out, have them get a run in the vehicles, splain them etc..

It may inspire them to broadcast a report prior to event as a promotion to get the public out the following weekend
