A few of the original discarded bits have been re cycled into my F60L :-)
Half the gears are in the gear box and some of the engine bits as well..

Necessity is the mother of invention. It actually does look (kind of) appealing too.

Yea farmers tended to be a bit hard on CMPs. Heres a hay bale hauler and I think an abandoned front end loader project!! I viewed these the other day and they could be useful for parts btu the owner has high prices in his head. (farmer too)

Ha ha , not this guy, I believe that paint is pure coincidence.. there's about 200 projects in this fellows acreage Model A's to CMP s to Caterpillars and he's 80 years old ; he is still going to restore it all so he says!!

Here is a Blitz conversion I came across on one of our field trips. Dumped in a paddock and left neglected after obviously many years of loyal service.

Personally I would like to see a "Year of Swords into Ploughshares" at Corowa in the future.
There are some terrific vehicles out there that are just as interesting in there present form as they were in their first incarnation. Strickland carriers come to mind, as does Howards ever so slightly modified cab 11. Recently saw a DUKW that had been converted to a potable grain silo along with a Humber One Ton also set up as a spray rig. (Got to say it was a little more presentable than that beauty at the top of the thread)

That is an excellent suggestion Richard, would certainly bring out a wide and weird collection of modified vehicles.

A different vehicle
 

Hi Guys

If we are discussing changes to ex military vehicles, here is a photo I took last week in Singapore of a different ex military vehicle. Yes I know it is not a CMP and not much altered or a WW2 vehicle, but it shows people are always looking at ways to keep ex military vehicles alive in some other line of work. :D
