WHAT??? Only 500 yards??? What happened to the 1,000 yard shoot??

Sounds like a fun day .... are they inviting Little Johnnie 'I'm taking your firearms' Howard to participate??

Apparently he's invited but he's insisting on wearing his flak jacket.

I was there. That photo was taken in Sale Football ground, Sale Victoria.

My two boys and I were just to the right of the bloke with the sign on Little Johnnie's left. Right next to us was one of his bodyguards with an automatic pistol under his arm. He wasn't amused when son, Geoff asked him if he could have a look at the weapon. He had a quick chat on his radio and all the bodyguards were trying to make their pieces less conspicuous.

What did it achieve? A lot of good firearms destroyed from legitimate owners and the crims still have theirs. There are more privately owned firearms out there now than before the buy-back. :no4: :no4: :no4:

I handed on a 10 shot Ruger semi auto .22 and received $200. With the money I bought a 1941Mauser 8mm 5 shot bolt action rifle for $180.

I disposed of a rabbit killer for a people killer.

The Ruger was depreciating ( but a good rifle), the Mauser is appreciating very much in value.

Thanks Johnny
