How to make a dewat Bofors go boom for effect!
 

Any ideas on what how the dewat gun owners out there are getting their lawn ornaments to make realistic sounds from long ago? I would like to come up with something that will make my Bofors go boom every once and awhile. Deer and Goose bangers, propane powered? Any ideas? Cheers Rob .

I always see ads in the MVPA Supply Line for propane systems for tanks , guns and machine guns.

How about a shot of WD-40 or ether and a spark plug...works to launch a potato REAL far with a boom.

How 'bout some 40mm casings loaded with about 3 to 4 ozs of FFFG blackpowder. An associate of mine uses this in his 37mm A/T gun. This is unless of course your Bofors has a welded up or inoperable breech.
My other suggestion is to take the same amount and pack it into a toilet paper tube, duct tape it up and insert a lightable wick (cannon cord), drop down the barrel and off you go. Works well on pop can mortars as well...
