Wanted CMP Generator Pully
1 Attachment(s)
My friend is restoring his 1500 wt Ford cmp and was dissembling his generator for repairs and when trying to removing the pulley he thought it was pressed on and tried to remove it with a puller and the result was a broken pulley (see pic) He requires another pulley and was hoping someone here might have a spare kicking around ??

I may have one over here... will check.

Casting number
There should be a casting number. This would help positively identify it.

Thanks for the reply Keith, will keep you in mind as hopefully will find something closer. Brian the only numbers I see on the back of the pulley are:

What engine is your friend running? Normally the CMP engine has a dual belt pulley that mounts the cooling fan to the pulley hub. The pulley you've pictured is a single belt pulley with no provision for mounting the fan, and was used with a separate fan hub mounted lower on the engine between the Genny and Distributor.
If you really need that particular pulley, it is available new from Mac's Auto as part number 01A-10130-B. The correct style CMP pulley is pictured below: |
He is running a flat head ford engine. I kind of wondered if it had two pulleys as maybe it is not an original engine but its what it had, Thanks for the heads up regarding Macs as I never thought of looking there :thup2: It should get him going again. Thanks for the replies.
