Tannoy grey mic and headset for AFV

This is the gawd-awefully heavy hand held grey steel microphone used mainly for drivers in AFVs.
Not to be confused with the black bakelite N07 microphones...

These were wired in with the headset and used the snatch plug for normal AFV wireless boxes.

Looking for a couple for the Humber Ac.

I've got a like new set that I'll part with.

I just concluded a trade for two NOS in the box... But what are you asking for yours?

I assume Jim you have the correct drivers box with transformer in to power the Mic.

Hi Niel!
I think I have. Actually, I have several variations of the driver's box, but I can not cite which models/part numbers they are. I am at work now and can't check.

We have been tryignt o make a new IC circuit work with the original WS/19 headsets and impedance matching, so we can drive a modern CB radio 27Mhz and the turret crew have good luck with that, but the Driver's key injects a loud "motorboating" noise. Not a squeel for a ground fault. We have the IC box reconfigured internally for the modern work-around, and my intent is to go back to original fixtures and use the IC amp int he WS/19.

I expect we will add another box that routs us off the A and B sets and into a boc where we have the CB (HF band) and a GRMS (UHF band) and do the impedance matching there.

I have heard how good the IC for a WS/19 is in Dave Page's Dingo, and I am sure we will be happy withit in the HAC.

Have to send this out to Bill Max and Ryan Gill as they had been building these interface boxes.

Bill is a local WS19 guru who has calculated the R and C for impedance matching against the modern mics and headphones.

Ryan has been developing the interface for the WS/19 IC and call boxes for the Humber.

Likely the same for use in any of the Brit AFVs.

Let me ask them and see what we get back.

Probably should come up with a "white paper" on How to add a CB/FRS/GRMS radio to your WS/19 -equipted vehicle" .... or some such..

To add, our club does participate in field tacticals, so we need to be able to use real radios between vehicles and ground troops, and the CB/FRS/GRMS radios are legal to own by civilians with no license.
