Not an OMVA meet
This Show is not an OMVA meet nor was OMVA advised it was in the planning.
Rather than create a conflict OMVA will have a Summer and Fall Show at a large location with a driving range so members can bring and drive Carriers or any type of vehicle. As usual no charge for tables and free admittance to OMVA members and family, Veterans etc. Free coffee. Guests $5. Easy access to vendors tables in a large building. Date to be arranged. Possibly late September. Next year an Ottawa Show. Peter Simundson |
Ottawa Show???

Eric,
thanks for volunteering to put on an OMVA show in Ottawa, thats mighty good of you :salute: We did a show in Kingston a few years ago, met a ton of nice folks who now my name and face but I dont recall :bang: I think the Ottawa crowd is well able to put on a show  Look forward to coming out for it R |
No ottawa show in the works
Hello Robin
I know i am capable of doing an MV show, as i have done one in the past. Not to mention the parades and special events with other community partners. I would say Peter was a little premature about any Ottawa Show. Currently i am not aware of any plans to organize any show in Ottawa. In the meantime this thread is about the Oshawa Museums event. Thanks Eric |

What a busy weekend.........
....with so much going on.
First is the Barrie flea market....huge 4 day event Then Marcus at Willys Acres has a 3 day week end event just a few miles North of the Barrie antique car flea market. Then we have the Oshawa 3 day flea market on the same weekend. Quite the coincidence...... [I]Which reminds me of the definition of "coincidence"..... ........ Me .... my dear wife..... and the alarm clock all ( insert suitable word to your liking ) off at the same time. I understand history repeats itself...... the Sterling Spring antique car show flea market has also got into a split of some sort with both factions running a flea market the same weekend..... one at the old fairground site and the other one at a closed airport site nearby.... Must be trend for 2013. It will surely keep the buyers busy running around. Bob C |

table
Hi Peter, I have OMVA down for 1 table
regards Frank |
Looking forward to attending Oshawa, will be bringing a piece of tracked armour for the first time to the event.
Will have it running around as well as static display. R |
Is there a bigger display of functional armour in Canada?
I am also looking forward to the event. I will have several pieces of armour there.
A Sherman (that will make it two running there), M8 Greyhound, Mk1 Bren Carrier, a Brit Mk2/3 Ferret, a CVRT Striker that has been totally restored to it's Gulf War paint and kit. Unfortunately we have an amazingly restored Mk3 Stuart tank and CVRT Scorpion that are being shipped now but will not make it in time for the show. To the best of my knowledge others are bringing carriers, a CVRT Sabre and a CVRT Spartan. Should be an amazing display of functional armour and other military vehicles. Best in Canada???? Maybe! The scheduling Gods are against me
That weekend seems to have eight other must do things already promised! Damn! Must do a better job of managing my time. :giveup

Fired this up and moved it into main workshops today.
It will get a once over and clean up and sort out for the show this week. This is, for those who don't know, a British CVR(T) Spartan. R |
Stencils available on site
For anyone wanting 1" stencils cut I will be bringing our stencil cutting machine.
Barry, I will have yours with me. If you drop by and leave me a note as to what you want I will do them over the two days. Within reason that is. Full text of War and Peace will be charged for by the letter space. Cost, minimal. FYI I drink a double double from Timmies R |
Any photo's from the show?
