Tires for F60L

1 Attachment(s)
Hello

I am ending my FORD F60L and I am looking for new tires. I have found a shop in GERMANY which sold tires 1100X20 with NATO shape.
Is any body having soon mounted such tires on a F60L?
Thank for any answer

Regards Serge

Hello Serge,

20-inch tyres with the NATO tread pattern are often used on CMP trucks, see the picture of one for sale in Holland. Personally I think they are perfectly acceptable as they are better than 70 year old tyres.

You could also check out other types available at www.vrakking-tires.com (no connections), they have a wide variety of 20-inch tyres in stock.

Regards,
Hanno

Hello gentleman,

I have a question regarding those tires (NATO 11.00-20).
Is anybody able to measure the outer diameter when the tire is attached to the disk? (or NATO 10.50-20)

Or maybe a better question - what was the original CMP 11.00-20 (or 10.50-20) outer diameter please?

Thank you!

Martin,

There was significant variation in the dimensions of the tires produced by the various manufacturers during the war.

The attached image is from Page 88 of Volume iV - Self propelled M.T. Chassis, Design Record, Canadian-Developed Military Vehicles World War II.
