Anyone can tell me where the number 202 in this Canadian Roadsign refers to?

Interesting.

I've searched Berry Beldham's "Canadian Vehicle Markings" book and found no
such a tac sign existing within 1st Canadian Army.

The condition of it would suggest WW!! origin.

Re: Number

Rick;

Is the number perhaps ‘602,’ on a black background? If it is, your sign is for No. 14 Canadian Field Hygiene Section, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.

Cheers

Itīs found in the Netherlands and 100% WWII (May 1945-December 1946).

Itīs certainly 202, on blue.

The only 202 unit I found so far that was around in Holland was 202 Infantry Ordnance Sub-Park, but I have no idea how roadsign- en vehicle-numbers work normally.

202

If its on a blue background then it indicates a RCE unit. I am several thousand miles from my references at present, but that AoS number will indicate the unit, if you have the list of such numbers. What it will certainly not be is a unit actually with 202 in its title.

Still looking for the unit that goes with this roadsign.

202 on blue -> probably RCE? Anyone has a complete list available and can help me check it out? I want to include the unit in the local history of my area.

Thanx in advance
