LP2 Jack bracket help needed.
3 Attachment(s)
Ok brains trust, I want to help a restorer who contacted me looking for info on carrier jack brackets.
Did different manufactures have different wing nuts and clamps as I have seen three different types? The carrier the jack bracket is going on is a vic Newport rail 1941 built. What is correct? |

My Ford built LP2A (2814) has the modified nut as the lock nut rather than the wingnut. This appears to be the same as that fitted on Carrier 2843 at Bandiana which is also a Ford built carrier.
This doesn't really help with your question about the Vic Railways carrier but may indicate that this type was fitted to Ford built carriers. Ian |
Thanks ian, I can see a patten forming.
Any other vic rails carriers out there? |
