ID-Please: CMP in the Egyptian Desert

Colleagues:

I am currently busy with the captions to the photos of a new book I am working on. For this I would like to know the exact type of truck shown in the attachd photograph - it is a Chevrolet (that is what I learnt) but the I have noclue about the details :confused

Keith; that sounds very much plausible - the diary giving the story to the photo talks about "3 tonner Chevrolets".

Hello KUNO

The truck is a CHEVROLET C60L with cab number 12.
Two thing lead us to this conclusion
1/The shape a the push barr (in front of the truck) made with a loop around the bumper
2/ the circulare hole for the aeration of the inner of the cab

3/ may be (I d'ont have the pic in front of me screen) the cylinder on the fleft wing use for liquid expantion

Keith hit it exactly as a 1941 Chevrolet C60L Cab 12. And yes Serge, that expansion tank is strictly Chev.
