C15a gas pedal
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all
I took apart my C15a Cab 13 gas pedal the other week and have since sandblasted and painted it back to black. However the bracket that bolted to the floor and acted as the pivot point had a sleeve that was rusted out. Im wondering if anyone can provide some pictures as to how it goes back together. There had appeared to be some steel bushings on the pedal itself. Was there a pin that went through them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Small tube is the pin

Hi Jordan
Below is a picture of my gas peddle from my HUP, the pin is actually a piece of tubing which is slightly flared at the ends to hold it in place. Let me know if you need a different photo angle. Cheers Phil |
That's exaclty what I needed to know. What I thought were bushings must have been what was left of the tubing and it had rusted away on the inside.
Thanks |
Perhaps.....
.... a short piece of stainless steel brake line suitably flared...... should last longer than the gas pedal......
