Happy 2012

Just returned home after having dinner with friends in inner Melbourne and watching the spectacular fireworks over the city.

Wishing all a happy 2012 filled with lots of CMP and other MV good things, as well as health and happiness.

Happy New Years Eve and New Years Day

Hi All

Strange feeling to realize that some our merry little group are all ready in a different year.

My plans for a New Years Eve or New Years Day drive in a CMP have been dashed. Overnight we had a spell of Freezing Rain and the roads are literally white now. Not with ice or snow but with SALT. So the trucks will stay tucked up in the barn.

So will somebody in warmer climb take a drive in the warm sun in their CMP for me. Or somebody with a nice deep blank of snow take a drive.

Happy New Years Phil

Hi All
I would like to wish all MLU members around the world a safe and Happy New Year. We watched the fireworks and then off to bed, left the party going to the young ones. New Year day here today is going to be a hot one, forecast is for 41 degrees today, so no work in the garage today.

Happy New Year from the Hammond Barn...

..... and all 3 barnies.....

We closed off the year yesterday by driving the HUP and my cab 11 frame out of the Winter shelters onto the snow and across the field.

I understand Rob has taken some pictures.

We had as much fun as two piggies in shit.... all 4 wheels spining and flinging snow past my head from the front tires.

The ground was frozen hard and the steering was a one finger job almost like power steering .......

Topped off the anti freeze to -35 and but her back to bed.

I tried that this afternoon, Phil.
Just a 2.2km trip to park the old girl IN A SHED! She came to a hault about half way from the destination. Had to be towed the rest of the way after a lot of ****ing around in the 40'c heat. Average speed for the trip was <1kmh.
Obviously she (the truck) knew she was destined for a shed and did not know how to handle it... Been outside now for an unbroken 40 years+!
