Looks like no harm done... now where are the pics of your C15A pulling it out? :D

It was after dark when I drove past on my way home. As for harm it looks like the left mirror is broken, it apears to have hit the ground on its side and righted itself against the bank. There is grass on the mirror arm and the barb is over the cab corner and one steel post is almost out of the ground. The driver is probably suffering RSI from the paper work. :sheep:

Last time I drove the neighbours semi I paid too much atention to the guide instead of double checking myself. When I did check the left mirror I was heading for another truck and when I swung the wheel hard I cracked the left mudguard on a bollard. So during the Christmas break I had to polish up on my fibreglassing skills and repair the damage. :bang:

Does this count as an oops? No fault of the driver. This truck was 'parked' on side of the Bruce Hwy, just south of my place, during a period of extreme rain, in 2007. There was no possibility of driving through the rain. Visibility was approaching nil, so driver attempted to pull over and wait out the storm. Rain had been heavy for many days, soils were saturated and soft, driver not able to see that the road edge was sloping, and weight of the vehicle did the rest. Note the licence plate number! Tempting fate perhaps?

Water should have been 30 feet below the roadway. The buildup of vegetation is floating debris. One hour later the bridge was entirely under water. Buggered if I would be standing where the thrill seekers were.

Ah, the good ole days. I remember rain. Grass was green then. Brown & crunchy now.

This shows WHY I wouldn't be standing on that bridge in floodtime. That's not even the worst part of the concrete degrading.

I took these pics of this cement mixer back in 1977 in Uranium City, Sask.

Here is one thats happens a lot with grain or cattle feed. Cornering it suddenly starts shifting with the following result. No harm to the driver except for his ego...

Sometimes you do the right thing and still end up in the s**t. More damage could be done recovering a truck in that position than was done parking it there.
