1985 Bedford 5 ton wrecker wiring diagram needed

Hi All,
I have been asked by a friend that has a friend who is currently working on a 1985 Bedford 5 ton army wrecker and is trying to figure out the wiring in it.Does anybody have any idea on how to obtain wiring information on this vehicle so I can pass it on? I have been searching the websites but came up with nothing on wiring.Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.
Regards,Derk.

Post the same request on www.hmvf.co.uk for best results.

As someone who looks after British kit I post there as that is where the knowledge base is.

If you were looking for GMC or Chev then a Canadian website is fine, but not in this case.

I know wise owls like Richard Farrant and Clive Elliott post here but many others are on hmvf and not here.

Hi Derk,

I see Robin has mentioned my name. This would be the MJ Recovery, my time working on them did not involve electrical work, except for the crane safe load indicator system, which I did have to work on, recalibrating and repairing. I do not have any wiring diagrams for the vehicle side, not sure if they differ from the standard MJ truck too much. If you have not got a technical manual, try these people, they do copies, "Vintage MV Manauls". Just checked their website and they list a lot of literature for the MJ, but not specifically for the Recovery version, there would be very little difference except for electrical feeds related to the recovery equipment fitted.

I have a feeling I might have a very faded copy of a circuit diagram related to the Wylie safe load indicator fitted. Might take some finding and cannot be sure it would scan successfully.

Hope this is of some help to you.

regards, Richard

Manual.

Hi Richard,
I will have to find out exactly what kind of information he is looking for and go from there.I am not sure if it is his vehicle or if he is repairing it for somebody.I will mention the manual to him and see if he is interested in chasing one down for reference. Thanks for your help.
Regards,Derk.
