London Bus Strike
1 Attachment(s)
Another from the Daily Mail [see thread "Jeep Question"] Apparently London bus drivers went on strike in April of 1944 - the Army was called in to help and some of their vehicles were used. Posted here because of the CMP running service No 58.

...and the Bedford QLT one hopes.

Yes I did note the Bedford, here's a link to another photo I found Here
Looks like an Austin K2? and is that a Scamell mechanical horse in the background - looks like it belongs to one of the railway companies Noel |

Pretty sure that is an early CMP, going by the front wings and narrow cab, either a Chev C30 or Ford F30...........what the Aussies call a Monkey Face Blitz. |
I have just noticed that the picture I posted a link to shows rounded wheel arches - did not CMPs have square ones? - Dont know if that helps my identification as an Austin though

Two experts have now said CMP so it must be right - I'll shut up in a moment.
Glif, I was reffering to the arches on the back body - there is a chap sitting on one. Noel |
