Elvis..
Possibly if you used your real name,as most of us do here ,someone would talk to you and get a dialogue going..and posted where in Ontario you lived..
Most of us know each other or are friends of friends or associates..It is a site that is well managed by our host with the most...JIf Peanut Butter Balls, and we don't get away with no shit ,so loosen up and give us some info on yourself and modify your profile to reflect that info when you post..
Welcome aboard and I know some of the posters here are very proficient with the industrial sewing machines and do canvas..
You will get some help ..

Jon Skagfeld, world's greatest authority on Canadian Military radios, and beer ,lives just south of Owen Sound and another bunch live in Collingwood..

Alex..."world's greatest authority......not so, I can't hold a candle to Louis Muelstee...but beer, there's a different story! Thanks anyway for the accolade. PS, Alex, Rob lives south of the Caldwells and knows them. We are a small community.

I know Rob, have visited him with my M38A1CDN3 and checked out each others vehicles.

Rob, have you considered Croft's Upholstery down the highway from you?

Rob, PM me regarding a tour of my museum set up.

Hey Alex,
Thank you for the kind reference - especially the "young lad" part. Well at least young at heart! Still honing my canvas skills on a Juki 562 walking-foot sewing machine.
....... Brian

Jon Skagfeld 15-10-10 03:05

Brian, are you in a position to quote on a complete set of canvas for my M38A1CDN3?

I have the framework.

Alex Blair (RIP) 15-10-10 03:21

Out of the fog I remembered that you were doing some canvas tricks..

You'll have to let us know when you are coming to Ottawa and we'll have a gather up at Gracies ..
A momentous evening ,to be sure..
It's just about time for a gather up anyway..
Anyone coming Ottawa way..??
I feel a bunch of green, greasy stories coming on..
The Barn boys must be getting twitchy too..
